Learning Journeys

As a 3-19 school we deliver a through curriculum, which is ambitious, carefully planned and sequenced to build our pupils knowledge and skills.
The aim of the through curriculum is to identify gaps and continually build upon prior learning. Pupils are enabled to access the EYFS seven areas of learning; the primary and secondary national curriculum; in KS4 option choices and vocational opportunities; and an innovative post 16 offer based around the themes of Independence, Community and Enterprise.
The through curriculum can be adapted and personalised to meet the needs of all pupils.

In this area you will find links which will help you support your child with their learning at home. At Northcott, we believe our pupils spend a lot of time regulating and managing their day and that homework is not always appropriate. Any homework we do set is about building independence, deepening their knowledge and allowing pupils to widen their own areas of interests.

Please remember our class tutors and subject staff are here to help. Do not hesitate to contact us on: admin@northcottschool.org.uk
