Sixth form for young people aged 16-19
Our Sixth Form College is a brand new provision based on our main school site, but with separate access. The sixth form is for young people aged 16-19. Our sixth form provision is open to pupils with an EHCP who have graduated through our school as well as young people from other educational provisions across the city, including other specialist settings. We continue to consider the environmental, sensory as well as academic needs of our young people.
Facilities
We provide age-appropriate facilities which encourage independence and move our young people towards adulthood. Our pupils have a sixth form centre that is home to a new state of the art “MasterChef” style food technology room, designed with ASD needs in mind and a Life Skills flat. The Sixth Form Centre is also home to the enterprise businesses, ‘The Salon’ and ‘The Bistro’. Our sixth formers also have their own common room to build social opportunities and provide independent time.
Our sixth form is based around 3 key strands, Independence, Community and Enterprise. Wrap around pastoral care remains at the centre of our offer alongside a bespoke curriculum.
