Nurture Curriculum
Our Nurture staff provide the highest level of support for pupils struggling with emotional regulation, social interaction, communication and behaviour management in a protected, carefully managed environment. Pupils in these classes follow a bespoke curriculum, which includes Life Skills, Art, PSHE, Music, PE, sensory/emotional regulation and community visits alongside a more traditional academic learning, such as literacy, numeracy and thematic humanities projects.
Our ultimate aim is to help our pupils in the nurture provision area to integrate into the main school, into age-appropriate classes. This is a journey that is bespoke to each child, and we do not set any specific time scales. Pupils move on when the are ready.
