About Our School
Northcott is a community day special school that caters for 115 pupils with speech, language and communication needs between the ages of 5-16 years. Most children are in the moderate learning difficulty range. The school was awarded Specialist Status for Communication and Interaction in September 2008.
We aim to create a safe and supportive inclusive learning community, where pupils learn in an aspirational environment, where their diversity and very differing educational needs are understood and respected. We are committed to giving pupils opportunities to shine, and to valuing and celebrating all their achievements.
The school is not affiliated to any particular religious denomination.
Admissions are determined by the Local Authority (LA), not by the school.
