Year 7 Premium

2015 – 16 Year 7 Catch Up Premium

Year 7 Catch Up Premium Funding helps schools to provide additional support in literacy and numeracy to pupils. In 2015-16 the funding was provided for all pupils who did not achieve at least level 4 in reading and/or maths at the end of key stage 2.

2015 – 2016

In 2015-2016 we received £8500 of extra funds. The funding per pupil was £500, and seventeen out of twenty two pupils in the year group received the funding.

This funding was used by the school to:

  • staff 1:1 interventions / small group tuition to develop pupils’ English and maths skills
  • staff 1:1 interventions / small group tuition to develop pupils’ social communication and interaction skills
  • provide additional support for the transition from mainstream, including working in a class without the direct 1:1 support of a teaching assistant
